Well, this is embarrassing.
Just three days after Sepp Blatter resigned from his role as president under the mounting pressure of corruption investigations, the FIFA-financed Blatter biopic, United Passions, made its debut in US theatres.
We know what you’re thinking: how was this movie ever allowed to happen? As with most things involving FIFA right now, the shiny-bonced former boss’s unflinching arrogance is to blame. The film, which cost over £29 million to make, was financed almost entirely by the organisation and looks to tell the "heroic" tale of how “three deeply ethical men” created the World Cup.
What's that noise? It's the sound of your bullshit detector going into overdrive.
