The Aston Martin Rapide could be everything you want an electric car to be.
Can actually do the speed limit? Check. Can get to the shops and back without needing a recharge? Check. More than 10 horsepower? Triple check.
This new Aston Martin will roll off the factory floor with an eye-watering 800 brake horsepower - that's just 200 shy of the original, petrol-guzzling Bugatti Veyron. Packing a 200 mile radius, with four wheel drive and replacing their old petrol/electric hybrid model - Automotive News says you can expect it out in about two years time.
Unfortunately for us all, there are no concept images available of the Rapide (we've pictured the Rapide S), and the future doesn't come cheap. It's expect to cost somewhere between £128,000 and £160,000 to be precise. Ouch.
