FHM’s 100 Greatest Games of All Time

Posted by , 16 June 2009

Mario Kart Wii

Year: 2008
Platform: Wii

Why it’s a classic: Take a tried, tested and massively popular game model. Then stick shiny new graphics and a motion-sensing control scheme on it. Somehow, the result gels perfectly. And instead of a corpse desecrated for the sake of invention, you’ve got the most accessible, addictive and downright enjoyable Mario Kart game ever.

Best bit: After weeks of practice and some pretty damn respectable lap times, taking the plunge and heading online to race against ‘real’ people. Followed by, inevitably, failure.
