FHM’s 100 Greatest Games of All Time

Posted by , 17 June 2009

Year: 2000
Platform: Dreamcast

Why it's a classic: Essentially, a Japanese Grand Theft Auto. Except that it predates Rockstar's first 3D crime sim by a full twelve months. And doesn’t have cars. Still, you could go anywhere, do anything and – if the urge grabbed you – punch old ladies. Excellent.

Best bit: Arcades are scattered across various villages, and crammed with playable mini-game versions of classic thumb-bruisers like Hang-On and Space Harrier.
