FHM’s 100 Greatest Games of All Time

Sim City 2000

Year: 1993
Platform: PC

Why it's a classic: Impossibly addictive and incredibly easy to get into, largely thanks to an interface so simple even Boris Johnson would have a fair chance of maintaining social order. Build a power station, stick up a few shops and houses, then link it all together with some road. Blissful utopia? Not always. There's nuclear meltdowns, earthquakes and civil unrest to deal with, too.

Best bit: Crafting your city to perfection, with little picket fences and everything. Then unleashing a UFO attack and cackling morbidly at the ensuing chaos.
