What is it? Sony have teamed up with wireless controller debutantes Zeemote, who have barnstormingly taken a Wiimote Nunchuk design, shrunk it, and enabled it with Bluetooth for on-the-go and fiddle-free gaming.

What’s good about it? It’s the leap-forward that non-touch/tilt screen mobile gaming functionality needed, giving you one-handed control of an analogue joystick and four buttons. Essentially, it opens up the market to more sophisticated titles, and with mobiles likely to be pumping out PS2 quality games by the end of the year, that’s exciting.

What’s bad about it? Launch title Fast & Furious is cack, with little to distinguish it from other handheld racers. And if you’re sat on the tube, overly-enthusiastic manipulation of the Zeemote might, from a distance, look like you’re cracking one out. It’s just something you’ll have to live with.
