Polaroid Polavision – good idea, bad timing
If they could make a photograph appear on a piece of paper before your very eyes, why couldn’t they do that with a home movie? These were the words that echoed around the Polaroid corporation for most of the 70s until, eventually, Polaroid Polavision emerged with a whimper. The upside was no developing costs; the down was an expensive projector… and the emergence of something called a camcorder.
