Stars: Hayden Christensen, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman
They say: After three years of fighting in the Clone Wars, Anakin Skywalker begins his journey towards the Dark Side of the Force, putting his friendship with Obi Wan Kenobi and his marriage at risk.
We say: After the first two disappointing episodes (What the hell was Jar Jar Binks about?), George Lucas has finally delivered a Star Wars film worthy of the original trilogy with Revenge Of The Sith. The film looks fantastic, and the cast works well in their respective characters. Hayden Christensen shines in his role, giving credible performances as both nice but troubled Anakin, and Mr Dark Side himself, Darth Vader. In terms of tying up the story and explaining how Vader came to be, the film's almost faultless. True Star Wars fans could find fault in some aspects of the film - Vader's post costume change Frankenstein-esque acting for example, but overall there's no doubt this film will please both die-hard fans and those viewers relatively new to the films, and should be a worthy addition to the top of the film charts. Awesome.
Best Bit: Yoda effortless disposal of a pair of enemy guards.
