Stars: Leonardo Di Caprio, Cate Blanchett, Kate Beckinsale
They say: A biopic depicting the early years of legendary director and aviator Howard Hughes' career, from the late 1920s to the mid-1940s.
We say: Scorsese's best since Goodfellas? Arguably. His best since Casino? Definitely. It may go too easy on plane-flying, piss bottling mega-rich loony Howard Hughes but it's Hollywood-ised to the extreme, with DiCaprio upping his game and a touch of old school glamour thrown in for good measure. Will it sweep the board at the Oscars? Possibly.
