On the face of it, a slick, stylish tale of two brothers on opposite sides of the law. But scratch a little deeper and you’ll find Eva Mendes, in suspenders, rolling around on a chaise in a manner becoming a lady of the night.
With a storyline revolving around black sheep, family turmoil, redemption and booze, it’s a fairly seasonal plot, but expect good things from writer/director James Gray, including - potentially - the best car chase in the history of cinema.
