Ten cinematic Nazis who brim with pure evil

Amon Goeth in Schindler’s List

Which Nazi? Ralph Fiennes plays Amon Leopold Goeth, an officer in the SS and commander of the Nazi concentration camp, Plaszow.

Why’s he evil? Because Goeth was found guilty of murdering tens of thousands of people within his own, and other, concentration camps. You know, at the weekends and stuff. Visit a pal, kill a man. He tortured and exterminated Jews on a daily basis, and allegedly shot over 500 with his bare hands. Poldek Pfefferberg, a holocaust survivor, said of Goeth: “When you saw him, you saw death.”

When and where? Directed by Steven Spielberg it was set in the 1940s when Nazi Germany and the Holocaust were in full swing. Get Schindler's List from HMV.

Key quote: “They cast a spell on you, you know, the Jews. When you work closely with them, like I do, you see this. They have this power. It's like a virus. Some of my men are infected with this virus.”
