G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra

What’s it about? More of a softy than Britain’s Action Man, G.I. Joe spent the ‘80s lecturing US kids in animated public-service broadcasts. Now comes the film, starring Dennis Quaid and Brendan Fraser. The goodies vs baddies plot is pleasingly simple enough, and should leave room for plenty of gnarly gunfights and things going ‘bang’.

Hottest star? Sienna Miller plays Cobra hench-lady The Baroness, for which she bulked up with five whole pounds of muscle. Which is just as well, since she spends the entire film wrapped in this amazing leather catsuit.

everything apart from star trek, slumdog and bruno almost the worst comedy of 2009 dissapointed because sacha baren cohen is normally pretty hilarious
