Ten cinematic Nazis who brim with pure evil

Heydrich and Eichmann in Conspiracy

Which Nazi? Kenneth Branagh plays Reinhard Heydrich, Stanley Tucci plays Adolf Eichmann, both senior officers in the SS, Hitler's private army. Evil of the highest order.

Why are they evil? Heydrich and Eichmann were the two key members of the 1942 Wannsee Conference, where 15 leading Nazis met to discuss the “final solution to the Jewish question”. What follows is the sewing of the seeds of the Holocaust. No gunshots are fired in Conspiracy, yet they hatch a plan that will result in 2,500 Jews being killed every hour. Which is 60,000, every day. Which would have been 21,900,000 in one year. But they were stopped. And there weren't that many Jews. It’s harrowing, because it’s true.

When and where? Set in 1942, it was shown on TV in 2001. Buy Conspiracy from Amazon.

Key quote: Reinhard Heydrich: “From Lapland to Libya, from Vladivostok to Belfast, no Jews. Not one.”
