The concept of well-known fanny Jude Law appearing in an action film is as alien a concept to us as Michael Owen ever playing for Manchester United or Bono doing something good for humanity that he didn’t make all about himself. The latter will never happen. But Owen betrayed a city that thought he loved them and scored a winning goal against his brand new fiercest rivals Manchester City this season, and now Jude Law has dropped the gentle womaniser act (in his films, anyway) by looking really bald alongside Forest Whitaker in a violent film called Repo Men. It looks quite good. You know, if you like guns, knives, fighting, overdue payments on organ donations and that kind of stuff. Having our expectations confounded rocks our world.
Repo Men is in cinemas on April 16.
