Sherlock Holmes

What’s it about? Guy Ritchie’s big budget take on the adventures of the 19th Century super sleuth. Robert Downey Jr. will play the morphine-happy Holmes and Jude Law his moustachioed sidekick Dr. Watson. Downey has said he wants to focus on Holmes’ status as “ a bohemian and “a patriot”, which could mean anything. Plot-wise, all that's really known is that the baddie is called Blackwood (Mark Strong); so don’t you go ruling out pirate ships. And… there will be fog.

Hottest Star? A toss-up between Kelly Reilly and Canadian Rachel McAdams, who you’ll probably recognise from when your girlfriend made you watch The Notebook. Both will rock restrictive corsets and framework underskirts.

everything apart from star trek, slumdog and bruno almost the worst comedy of 2009 dissapointed because sacha baren cohen is normally pretty hilarious
