Who? Lara Cox (hot, psychotic), Ben Seton (indecisive)

What’s it about? Joel, is stuck. Stuck in a relationship with a mentally unstable girlfriend who wants to kill herself. He wants to leave her for his sane ex, but doesn't want to tip Angela (psycho) over the edge. Oo-er. It turns out that Joel is pretty spineless, and instead of listening to his brother's advice, continues allowing Angela to keep him 'under the thumb'. Even when she drugs him with Rohipnol (because that sort of thing turns her on) he forgives her.

Angela decides that life is so unbearable that she and Joel should commit suicide... at the end of a dinner party... that they will host. Joel conceeds to hosting a dinner party, but knows nothing about the morbid post dinner entertainment. Ah. Needless to say, they host the dinner party and things get messy.

What’s good about it? The cinematography is quite wonderful (considering it was shot on budget of $200,000) and melds nicely with the sombre and atmospheric score by Oonagh Sherrard. Lara Cox's performance in the lead role is raw, totally convincing and without her moving depiction of a manic depressive, addicted to meds, the whole production might have fallen apart.

What’s bad about it? To be honest, some of the dialogue is a little trite par example:
Maddy "You're my best friend, but I just can't buy heroine for you" followed by erratic panting and watery eyes. Perhaps its the Australian accent or the inexperience of some of the actors,  but it sounds like some of the characters are reading from the script around a big table in a board-room, rehearsing their lines. The acting just isn't very natural. However, the unique plot keeps you guessing and intrigued till the very end. Tense and action-packed.

Sounds fun. Where can I watch it?
