Arctic Monkeys

When? 2006.

Why was it good? In between their two albums – Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not and Favourite Worst Nightmare – the five Monkeys of Sheffield took their Mercury Prize-winning asses out on what would be their last small-venue tour. At this point, they weren’t yet the biggest band in Britain, Alex Turner hadn’t started bonking Alexa Chung, and they didn’t have a Wikipedia page dedicated to all the awards they’ve won. Just say you were there. That’s what we do.

Total bastards and the Marquee was turned into some yuppie tosspot wine bar. This sucks. So much rock royalty has played here it should have listed status. Ken Livingstone sucks.
