Who? Blur and Oasis were the two biggest British bands of the ‘90s. Britpop, and all that. In 2003 Blur split after the abject, Graham Coxon-less Think Tank, and Oasis plodded on. But Albarn, Coxon, James and Rowntree could only resist the public demand and promise of loads of easy money for so long. And there’s only so much cheese that Alex James can make.

Why do we care? Because absence makes the heart grows fonder. And everyone’s seen Oasis more times than is strictly necessary. And because the Hyde Park shows are going to make a lot of people very happy.

Key song? The joy of Parklife will never die.

When? The reformation is official. The Hyde Park gigs in July are on. Expect more massive dates the world over. Probably some festival headline slots. And maybe an album…
