FHM’s guide to your soundtrack of 2010

Joy Orbison

Name: Joy Orbison

Vibe: Futuristic dubstep incorporating house music, soul and something resembling funk, British electronic music’s great white hope, the man that bored UK garage dancefloors have been waiting for.

Pointless fact(s): Joy Orbison – aka Pete O’Grady – works in a post room, and according to the co-founder of his record label Doldrums, a man called Impey, he likes it a lot. Also: Joy Orbison almost called himself Demon Albarn. Loadsa laughs.

Flippant remark: Reach for the lasers, SAFE AS FUCK.

Expect: Maybe an album. Or more likely: loads of massive parties at places like Fabric, a bundle of production credits and the odd well-timed, well-crafted, well-bloody-brilliant single.
