Bloodstock will make you die of heavy metal. But if you want to be brutalised unnaturally hard in Derby by people with bigger beards than you who know loads about shredding, you should buy a ticket immediately. It’s the UK’s largest independent metal festival and, along with the just-as-excellent Supersonic in Birmingham, makes Download look like a weekend for lady-boys.
