FHM’s 100 Greatest Games of All Time

Pitfall

Year: 1982
Platform: Atari 2600

Why it’s a classic: Because, despite the main character being made up of about 20 pixels and four colours, this is still genuinely great fun to pick up today. And Jack Black was in the advert.

Best bit: Beating the game and notching up 20,000 points. Then sending Activision a snap of your winning score and claiming yourself a sweet Pitfall! badge. Which made missing out on social interaction in your formative years totally worth it.
