Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid: Butch does the talking and Sundance does the shooting in George Roy Hill’s Oscar-winning tale of two outlaws on the run from a relentless gang of trackers. Is it the best buddy movie ever? We're inclined to say that it is. Plus that bit where they jump off the waterfall makes us laugh every time we see it, and we may have shed a manly tear or twenty at the ending.

In Robert Redford and Paul Newman, Hill had two of the most likeable and stylish actors of their day, with the pair of them essentially just mucking about on screen and producing cinematic gold like most of us mortals would produce dandruff. If you know of a cooler partnership on screen, we’d like to hear about it.
