What is it?
Plenty of people have tried to help out the Haitians by donating to charity, flying out there to work as a missionary and even going as far as releasing a pop song. Luckily, Ralph Lauren simply stuck to what they do best and have produced a special polo shirt, the proceeds of which will go to the United Way Worldwide Disaster Fund, who are helping the recovery effort in Haiti.
What's good about it?
Forgive us our cynicism but in most cases, people who release charity t shirts donate only a small amount of the proceeds to the appeal they're trying to help. Thankfully not in this case as Ralph Lauren are ensuring that 100% of all t shirt sales go to the Haiti appeal. And not only that, they've even bumped the price up to £110! Ralph is taking no prisoners.
What's bad about it?
Er, as long as you've got £110 to spend on a t shirt, not a lot. It looks great, it's for a good cause, it's not overly worthy and Ralph have even used capitalism to make more money for charity. Excellent work.
Gimme:
You'll need to go to the Ralph Lauren store in London's New Bond Street to buy one, so perhaps that's a drawback if you live in, say, Glasgow, but it is for a good cause. To find the store go to ralphlauren.com
