Nike’s most covetable retro re-issue this season is a 1972 trainer conceived by the University of Oregon’s running coach. In its day, the Cortez was the pinnacle of track sports technology, and historically it was somewhat talismanic to the Latino population flooding into the West coast of the US at that time. As we’ve been saying for a while now, early running shoes are big this summer and the Cortez is but one of many examples out there. £85, store.nike.com
