With the new Premier League season just around the corner, the title looks set to be two horse race between Chelsea (15/8) and Manchester City (5/2). Personally, FHM can’t see past Chelsea for the title, but at those odds it's probably not going to be the most exciting long bet.
So here's a deeper look at some flutters that'll give you real value if they come off (which they just might...) all tied together with a new sign-up offer from our friends at William Hill – simply join and bet £10 and you will receive £20 of free bets.
Top Goal scorer
It might seem like an obvious cliche bet, but given his recent World Cup run it could probably earn you a decent amount if you stick your money on Rooney at 14/1 to come up top scorer. After an awful World Cup he has a lot to prove to his new boss and the English public, and with the new responsibility of the captaincy it would be no surprise if he turned in his most prolific season ever.
Rooney top goal scorer at 14/1
That’s potentially a £280 profit from a free £20 bet. it's a no brainer.
West Brom finished 17th last season, escaping relegation by a mere three points. Pepe Mel has left and the baggies have bought in Alan Irvine – a Scot who has only managed in the English lower leagues. Lack of ambition? It certainly looks like it.
He has strengthened up the defence well, but their lack of trusted goal scorers is a big concern and the £10M signing of Nigerian Brown Ideye (who?!) does little to ease those concerns, as he is unproven beyond Ukrainian football.
West Brom to be relegated at 5/2
That’s potentially a £50 profit from a free £20 bet. Awesome.
Top promoted team
Burnley could definitely be the surprise package this season. With a bright young manager in Sean Dyche, their success last year was built around the goal scoring exploits of fresh British strikers Danny Ings and Sam Vokes – scoring 41 league goals between them.
Burnley to be top promoted team at 9/2
That’s potentially a £90 profit from a free £20 bet.
