We’re excited for Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon. There are a few reasons. First, huge robots beating each other up is always entertaining. Secondly, Rosie Huntington-Whitley – officially crowned the sexiest woman in the world – is the new female lead.
The sexiest woman in the world. If we do say so ourselves.
Third… what, robots and beautiful girls aren’t good enough for you? Well then, how about this exclusive featurette showing how one of the coolest stunts in the film is put together?
Okay, we admit it. We were dismayed when we learned Megan Fox wouldn't be in the film - you can see how much we enjoyed Transformers 2: Rise Of The Fallen here. But we're confident Rosie H-W will do a cracking job.
For those naysayers who say CGI is used everywhere, well this clip shows that you’re wrong in at least one way.
Obviously the robots in the film aren’t real (unless we see another featurette that proves otherwise) but some stunts which might look like they would involve a green screen, a coat hanger and a long zipwire are actually done FOR REAL.
In this scene, some guys jump out a plane and, using ‘wing suits’, they can literally glide through the air by riding on air currents. Like a flying squirrel.
When we saw this, we were a bit shocked. Imagine if a gale force, tornado or helicopter rushed past? You’d get torn to shreds. Also, cities are full of tall buildings, and some sort of splat-based scenario might occur. Eurgh.
Shia was horrified at Rosie's fart.
Anyway, after seeing the clip, we’re more than a little bit excited for seeing the film when it comes out in cinemas on June 29th.
If you love robots, Rosie Huntington-Whitley and people imitating squirrels, you should be a little bit excited, too.
And we’re also figuring out how to make a Megatron costume using old cardboard boxes and tinfoil.
Extreme Jenga led to utter devestation.
