Do you ever find yourself thinking: "D’you know what they should make more of? Gritty prison dramas. Yeah, you just don’t see enough of those…"? Well then you’re in luck! Because there’s another one! Hoorah!
Okay, we were being a touch facetious there. But let’s face it: there are A LOT of gritty prison dramas.
Don’t get us wrong, we enjoy a good gritty prison drama as much as the next man, but we can’t help but wonder whether they should make fewer films about prisons and more about things that are never the subject of films, like sandwiches, badges, desks, ties, oxygen, grass and Google’s Gmail email service.
And anyway, if you read the papers, you’ll know that prison is actually a right cushy deal of all-you-can-eat food, unlimited PlayStation and nice walks around a chicken wire yard. Why does no one ever make a film about that, eh?
We’re beginning to realise why our filmmaking career is yet to take off.
Ghosted is in cinemas, on demand and download June 24 and then on DVD June 27. Check out the Facebook page for more info.
