Boxfresh has dropped its new Inca pack.

A new weather-proof jacket has been added to the already-impressive autumn collection: the Bietal, which comes in two colourways with a contrasting wool blend, Inca-inspired, patterned lining.

You can also go Inca on your feet too, with print panels stitched on to these Midz Combo trainers.

Get yours from the Boxfresh website. To celebrate the release of the collection, we thought we'd have a funducational session on Incas. Better yourself with these six facts...

01 The Incas were a South American tribe that lived on the Andes mountains between 1200 and 1600. They went on to build one of the largest empires the world has ever known.

02 They constructed 30,000km of roads without the help of animals or even wheels.

03 Weaving was a significant artform for the Incas and, as the Boxfresh pack demonstrates, they were big on geometric patterns. And the odd bit of grilled guinea pig.

04 They worshipped several gods, but mainly the Sun God, Inti. The Incan emperor was believed to have been a direct descendent.

05 Spanish conquerors captured the Inca emperor in 1532 and began to break up the empire.

06 By the time of the Spanish conquest, it is estimated that the population of the Inca Empire ranged between 12 million and 37 million.
