What is it?
If you’re not yet familiar with Topman’s CTRL feature, now’s the time to get on board. Each month a new band or artist becomes curator of the Topman CTRL myspace site and will update a blog on what it’s like to be in their band (we sat in a minibus all day and then played a gig, then got back in the minibus). The month then culminates in a gig featuring artists chosen by each band.

What’s good about it?
The line ups are more than credible for a start, and the gigs are happening all over the country. Already they’ve included The Rumble Strips, Ladyhawke and Lightspeed Champion. Next month the Black lips (pictured above) will be taking over, with a gig in Bristol and in October, Gallows will be playing in Birmingham.

What’s bad about it?
There's no guarantee that your favourite band will be coming to a city near you.

Check out the Topman CTRL myspace page, currently being looked after by promoter Sam Kilcoyne for blog entries, gig details and to buy tickets.
