Nikki Sixx

Who’s the lucky fella? Hard-living, tattoo-loving Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx. Although that’s not his real name. His real name’s Frank. Rock. And. Roll.

What did he do? For two minutes, following a drug overdose in 1987, he died. It’s a bit moreish, that heroin.

How the hell did he get away with that? Luckily for Sixx, the first paramedic on the scene happened to be a massive Mötley Crüe fan. And, with all the enthusiasm of a roadie stomping along to Dr. Feelgood, delivered a shot of adrenaline to the dead man’s heart.

Is he sorry? Not really. Upon arriving at the hospital, wearing nothing but a pair of leather trousers, he immediately discharged himself, walked out into the car park and got a lift home from two girls. Although he did eventually clean up some years later, and went on to write a book about his experiences called The Heroin Diaries in 2007.
