Do you like snow? Do you like music? Do you like them TOGETHER? Then stone me, sonny, here are some strong reasons you should get yourself to the BRITS Snow & Music Festival next year.
You’ll get up close and personal with top acts like Pendulum, DJ Yoda, Ben Howard, The Cuban Brothers, Rob Da Bank, Stanton Warriors, Ugly Duckling, The Go Team, Scratch Perverts, Rodney P and Skitz, Dub Pistols, Dr Meaker, Mr Thing and Yungun, DJ Vadim, Darren Jay, Micky Finn, Jett Black, A Skillz, DJ Switch, DJ Woody, Babyhead, Gentlemens Pistols, Kovak and a load more that our poor fingers are too tired to list.
THE PEOPLE THAT ARE FUCKING GOOD AT BEING ON SNOW
You’ll see the best freestyle boarders and skiers the UK has to offer, as the BRITS plays host to the British Snowboard and Freeski Championships, which means as well as pimply 13-year-olds showing you up, you can take inspiration from Olympians and X-Games medallists.
THE ALL-IMPORTANT APRÉS SKI
It’s a raucous festival of music and snowy shenanigans. The après ski and cutting-edge club nights are as important as the carving and snow ploughs.
THE FACT IT’S PRETTY CHEAP, REALLY, ALL THINGS CONSIDERED
This year, packages started at £255 for the cheapest package. For this princely sum, you got seven nights at a pad nicer than your home, plus a tastier breakfast than you’d ever be arsed to cook, a week’s lift pass and a Festival wristband. You also received an event bag containing a beanie, a wallet, some magazines and some other STUFF. Yes, stuff.
It’s held towards the end of the ski season, which means you get the best of snow and sun. And yes, that does mean you can sport that panda-eyes goggle-tan that tells everyone you can afford to go on holiday in the middle of winter.
