6 Hysterical News Reports That Became Internet Gold

We love watching a good, hilarious, fame-seeking witness report on the news. In an age where videos can be shared faster than your Dad can embarrass you with his latest Facebook status, we get to see all sorts of people playing up for the cameras, in hopes of achieving longed-for viral infamy.

One of our all-time favorites will forever be Courtney Barnes, whose colorful description of a police chase/car crash earned him a rocket-propelled, one-way trip to internet superstardom.

"I was on my way to buy a piece of burger from Burger King and I just stopped… because my hunger went away." If that doesn't truly demonstrate just how traumatic the ordeal was, nothing will.

But we didn't stop there. For the sake of all things nostalgia, here's a recap of the best interviewees of all time...

"Apparently I've never been on live TV before..."

When you're shoved into the limelight at five years old, you don't really care what the limelight is or why it's there. Not Noah. Instead, he marvelled at how he's "never been on live TV before" and freely overused the word 'apparently', because he's his own man.

"You got some big testicles to pull this off, bro"

Charles Bradley's interview went viral not only because his personality was as large as the heroics that he actually took part in, but because the backstory was truly disturbing. He rescued a woman named Amanda Berry (who'd been missing for 10 years when Charles found her), and then spared no detail about everything that happened afterwards. Naturally, he became a viral hero.

"Ain't nobody got time for that"

You know you've made it big when an autotuned remix of your interview gets just as much, if not more, attention as the original video. That's just what happened to Sweet Brown, who was asked to describe a fire at a local complex. Little did she know, it was history in the making.

"Hide yo' kids, hide yo' wife"

You've all seen this one. Many times. Alabama native Antoine Dodson completely stole the show from his sister while recounting her ordeal after a break-in. A career as an internet celebrity followed shortly after.

"I like turtles"

Have you ever felt so overcome with feelings for anything that it's all you could think about? Ever been so lost for words that you say the first sentence that comes into your head, no matter how ridiculous it is? What about both of those, while dressed in zombie garb, on national news?

It happened to this kid, who will be forever immortalised online thanks to this one, utterly brilliant sentence.
