A Former Miss Virginia Was Charged In Australia For Beating Up Her Boyfriend

Miss Virginia 2011 Brittany "Nikki" Poteet is in hot water down under after she was arrested and charged with assault after beating up her boyfriend, according to Us Weekly.

The 29-year-old Poteet appeared in an Australian court the other day and received a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm—and it's not her first time in trouble for assault, as she previously faced two, unrelated accusations for the same crime in the United States.

Per police reports, the tall blonde allegedly beat up her boyfriend and caused bodily harm on the evening of December 16th.

The previous allegations against Poteet came when, in 2011, she was accused of verbally attacking her roommate, making homophobic slurs—which she denied. That same year, Nikki was charged with assault and battery against a former boyfriend, with all charges eventually dropped.

In addition to the assault allegations, Nikki Poteet was forced to return her Miss Virginia crown after posting a crude photo of herself drunkenly wearing the winning crown on social media, using the caption, "Miss Alcoholic USA”.

Seems like this girl has a few internal problems she needs to work out, so let's hope she's able to do just that—because this is all pretty crazy.
