Inside The World Of ‘Wonder Woman’ (Because It's All We're Thinking About)

She’s a character that’s been in existence for over 70 years, but Wonder Woman is only now getting the opportunity to star in her own film. Gal Gadot stars, with Patty Jenkins serving as director.

Wonder Woman is opening to rave reviews, setting it far apart from previous entries in the DC film universe, Man Of Steel (2013), Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Suicide Squad (both 2016). Besides having appeared in Batman V Superman, Gadot will be reprising the role in this November’s Justice League.

To celebrate the occasion, FHM's taking a look back at several of Wonder Woman’s appearances (and one near-appearance). It kicks off with our interview with Patty Jenkins, who provides some insight on what creatively drove the film; and continues with a behind the scenes look at the animated WW film from 2009 (featuring the voice of The Americans’ Keri Russell) that has just been re-released on Blu-ray.

From there, actress Adrianne Palicki, who stars on this fall’s The Orville, looks back at the 2011 Wonder Woman TV pilot she starred in that had been expected to go to series; and, finally, Deborah Joy Levine, the creator of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman, shares details on the series she had been actively developing that would have focused on the Amazon princess.
