Man, we've told you about some dumb criminals lately—remember the guy who got run out of a sex store in California by flying dildos?—and we've got another one to add to that list, because he just got taken down by a 74-year-old grandmother.
That's what happened this past Sunday night in Texas, when a lady named Rebbie Roberson showed an armed burglar who broke into her house who's boss, turning the tables on him by flashing her own pistol to send him running away. Don't mess with Grandma, man.
According to CNN, Roberson was greeted my the burglar as she walked into her house with him pointing his gun right in her face.
"When I started to get up, he was in here on me with a gun facing me right to my face," she told CNN affiliate KSLA.
But the 74-year-old grandmother from Bowie County, Texas, had something for him.
"I reached over there (a nearby table) and grabbed this gun. And when I swerved around, I pointed it at him and he ran."
As the intruder hightailed it out of her house, Roberson gave chase, firing her .38-caliber revolver at the fleeing man.
"I tried to kill him," she said. "Anybody break in on me, I'm going to kill them. He's going to kill me or I'm going to kill him."
There are badasses, then there's Rebbie Roberson, the real Texas Rattlesnake.
Cops are unsure if any of the shots from the 74-year-old actually hit the intruder, but they are on the lookout for him. Here's to hoping they find the bastard.
Roberson says it's the only time she's had to use her pistol—and hopes it's "the first and last"—but she showed how fierce a granny can be if you get on her bad side.
