We told you last week how retired boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. called out UFC superstar Conor McGregor on ESPN, simply saying, "let's make it happen" when discussing a possible superfight between the two mega-stars.
Mayweather, who also admitted that he wants around $100 million for the fight to happen, was allegedly offered $25 million for the fight over the weekend from UFC President Dana White. Unfortunately, Floyd turned down the offer, leaving Dana to record this message for the former undefeated boxer.
White does have a point. After all, $25 million is a hell of a big paycheck.
Of course, Floyd didn't just sit around and twiddle his thumbs or laugh it off. No, he replied to Dana—in the only way he possibly could.
Mayweather got personal with Dana White, giving him the "small time boss" treatment from his early days as a manager, even joking that the current UFC Prez used to carry his bags.
Who knows if, when or how a Mayweather-McGregor fight actually happens or not, but there's no lack of drama already, so every sports fan should hope something can get worked out, because it's a bout we all deserve.
