The Slow Mo Guys are by far some of the most creative, possibly insane dudes on YouTube. If you're hesitant to take a look at their videos, maybe you'll be convinced by these numbers—9,093,353/1,119,870,396. The first is how many subscribers they have, the second is how many views they've amassed since 2010!
It's incredibly difficult to be original nowadays. Most channels on YouTube are just a variation of something that came before it and while there are other people riding the slow mo wave, Gav and Dan did it first!
They've done popular videos like—"Football To The Face 1000x Slower," "25 Airbag Rainbow Explosion In 4K," and "Leg Waxing At 28,000 fps." Eek, the last one sounds INTENSE. I don't know how many of you readers have had your legs waxed, but I'll spare you the suspense, it's NOT fun.
Also, I'm not ashamed to admit that I had to look up what "fps" stands for....it's frames per second incase you wan't to stop pretending like I was doing.
The Slow Mo Guys have won some pretty prestigious awards for their efforts. No, not any Oscars, but a Shorty, Webby, and Streamy—which I hear are pretty legit in the social media world. Their home platform YouTube also happens to acknowledge them quite a bit as outstanding members of their community. They've been featured in every year in review on YouTube's "Rewind" (consecutively) since 2013.
The following video is making crazy headlines right now, not only because it's incredibly fascinating but a bit dangerous too. I don't know about you guys, but I cringe at the thought of picking up a mousetrap, let alone jumping onto a trampoline lined with 1,000 of them. Then again, this is why I write and don't produce YouTube videos—too chicken!
