Considering Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is one of the most famous men on the planet, it's safe to say that a single movie tanking isn't enough to ruin his career. That said, the 2017 Baywatch remake was really freakin' bad. So much so, that women like Priyanka Chopra and Charlotte McKinney running around in bikinis couldn't even safe ratings. Considering both ladies were featured on our Sexiest Women in the World list, that's saying definitely something.
All jokes aside, the film industry has, and always will be, hit or miss. Just because a movie has a star-studded cast with a nostalgic flair, doesn't mean it's enough to please audiences. Sometimes remakes blow up at the box office — and not in a good way. For such films, "The Razzies" exist. For those of you who aren't aware, “Razzies” are awarded to the worst movies of the year in Hollywood, of which Baywatch was one.
Instead of lashing out, Dwayne Johnson took his "L" like the champion that he is. Posting a humble reaction to Twitter that reminds us why he's such a legend. Take a look:
It’s the #Oscars and Hollywood’s biggest night!— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) March 4, 2018
So let me go ahead and take this “L” right on the chin for Baywatch.
Win some, lose some.. but hey, that’s the way love goes. @RazzieAwards #Baywatch💩🥪 #AndTheWinnerLosesOn pic.twitter.com/2ICyzfVHSV
See what we're saying, guys? That's how you handle a loss like a #boss. To be fair, despite being a huge blunder, Baywatch still racked in $166 million at the box office, a pretty penny of which went into Jonson's pocket. Proving that in Hollywood, even the losers are winners.
