Here's What Women Really Think Of The Scent Of Your Cologne

Whether you're a college kid who's trying to leave a solid impression on all those hotties in your psych class, or a 30-something like myself just hoping that a woman notices how great you smell, guys go to great lengths to make sure they choose the best colognes to drive the ladies wild. Problem is, we're not really sure how much to put on, where to dab it and, realistically, what scents are the most attractive to women — until now.

Thanks to Scentbird — who polled 6,000 women and men about fragrances — we have an idea of what works best when it comes to attracting the opposite sex. Here's what they found to be most effective.

As you can see, women seem to love a good outdoorsy man, with a "woodsy" scent falling on top of the list of the sexiest fragrance types. Additionally, women want their noses — and, hopefully, lips — to guide them to a man's neck, because that's the place ladies love a man to dab it on themselves to get their attention.

Finally, if you're in the market for a new cologne, you might want to consider these three before any others: Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio, Chanel Bleu or Davidoff Cool Water, because these are the top-rated among women.

There's a reason why our sense of smell can lead us to attractive people, and it's because they're clearly doing something right with fragrances and proper distribution, so use this info to your benefit, guys!
