Do you know how many people Google, "how to get out of bed" every month in The United States alone? No, of course you don't. You don't have access to that kind of technology. No worries, we'll tell you — it's a little over 3,000. Do you realize how insane that is? Getting out of bed is as easy as throwing the covers to the side and yet, it's become this impossible task for a lot of people. Is it because the act itself is difficult or is it because the question "how to get out of bed" has nothing to do with the physical and everything to do with will power?
In our opinion, getting out of bed is mind over matter. You need to channel the proper motivation! Otherwise, you're likely to remain a garbage person who has one of those beds that doubles and triples as a dining room, workspace, and love nest — sounds awesome in theory, but getting leftover PB&J stuck to your private parts is a real bummer. That's why when we came across this question posed by Reddit user, Tizoutirat, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to educate y'all on something that burdens dudes near and far every single day.
"What are your tips/tricks for getting out of bed in the morning?"
"'If you don't get up now you'll probably lose your job', is all the motivation I need."
"Put your alarm on the other side of the room so that you actually have to walk to get to it."
Healthy And Well Rested
"Drink a lot of water just before you go to bed. The want to not piss the bed is a great motivator, plus you’ll be healthier."
Seems Even More Extreme
"The moment I open my eyes, I immediately jump on my feet. Not a second spent just lying in bed. Even if you’re sleepy, suddenly blood flowing will wake you up."
"I have the coffee maker set on a timer so that the aroma of freshly-brewed coffee fills the bedroom and beckons."
"I have a cat. She wakes me up an hour before my alarm every single morning."
"f I have good breakfast planned, it is easier to get out of bed. The sooner I get out, the sooner I can have my food."
"I sleep in random places throughout my house, it's easier to get out of bed when you're not in a bed."
"On weekdays, as soon as I open my eyes and check the time, I violently kick the covers off thus making me cold."
"I have a lamp directly beside my pillow that I've rigged up to one of those christmas light timers. It has a stupid bright bulb in it and is set to turn on at the same time my alarm goes off. I can sleep through noise, but the bloody light gets me every time."
