Believe it or not, there are actually some surprising benefits to smoking pot. And, whether you like to smoke it, use it to cook with weed or are still a beginner just trying to figure out the differences between Indica and Sativa, we all know of different ways people like to use the stuff.
Well, thanks to some respected experts in the cannabis industry, we wanted to know some creative ways that people can eat the sticky icky stuff, with most of them squashing the whole notion that the Snozberries will taste like Snozberries if you do so — cue the Super Troopers reference.
Without further adieu, here are some creative ways to consuming marijuana — and, as always, make sure to do so carefully.
"Many strains of cannabis have naturally fruity terpene profiles, so one of my favorite ways to get high is to use fruit as a bong. From watermelon to apples, the danker the fruit, the sweeter the high. Combine it with a CaviTaffy from Caviar Gold and you're in for a real treat." — Krista Whitley, CEO of Social Media Unicorn and Founder of Vegas Weekend Box
"When I was younger, I bought a head shop contraption that resembled a glass bowl for a bong. It was too wide and tall to actually be a bowl, as it could hold ~7 grams of cannabis. As it turned out, it was hand blown to fit a standard heat gun, which you were supposed to put in the top of the piece to vaporize the weed inside. I lived with my parents at the time, so I would regularly pull into the driveway of a show home or empty for-sale house with a friend, plug an extension cord into a car outlet, and take vapor rips inside." — Pantelis Ataliotis, President of Dr. Dabber
"I never used to be able to smoke concentrates on hikes because my dab setup was too complicated and hard to transport. Nowadays, there are all sorts of on-the-go vaporizers that make it possible to smoke all the way up to the summit.” — Jack Poupore, Associate at Green Lion Partners
“One of my favorite and creative ways to use cannabis is to make a social cocktail with a splash of a cannabis tincture. My go to would be a real nice Gin with a quality tonic and a cannabis tincture to top it off. Not only does it taste great and I feel great, but it’s a basically a hangover preventer too as you don’t really need more than one or two, which keeps you from drinking too much where you have a hangover the next day.” — Jason Santos, CEO of Burn TV, a Netflix-type digital lifestyle and entertainment platform embracing the legal cannabis industry
“When I think of creative ways to get high, of course a pineapple bong comes to mind and is mighty tasty! But, really, I actually do use cannabis in order to spark my creativity. I do this by using a combination of strain and temperature control. My favorite is Jack Herer, which contains pinene and promotes alertness, at 365F.” — Shauntel Ludwig, Vice President of Operations for Davinci Vapes
