McLaren's New 720S Is Eye Candy That Has Strong Substance To Boot

About six months ago, we said that McLaren's 570GT MSO may be the sexiest car you'll ever lay your eyes on. Needless to say, we've changed out mind after seeing the British automaker's new ride, the 720S, which it unveiled yesterday at the Geneva Motor Show.

Point blank: This thing is sexy on the outside and has an Ivy League-like brain and professional athlete-like performance.

Boasting a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine and weighing 2,828 pounds, the 720S is lighter and faster than both the 570GT MSO and its most recent predecessor, the 650S, already making it one of the world's top-performing supercars. And with it capable of hitting 60 miles per hour in a blazing 2.8 seconds, per company execs, and capable of topping out around 212 miles per hour, the 720S packs more punch than a Mike Tyson right hook.

With all that style, performance and power, though, comes with a hefty price tag, as the McLaren 720S has a list price of around $290,000, which is 5 percent more than previous McLaren models.

Still, just look at some of these specs and see why millionaires and rich sports car enthusiasts will be happy to drop that sort of cash on such a dynamic ride.

So, now that you've got all the information, take a look at the pics to see why we love the McLaren 720S more than any supercar we've seen. Now, if only we had $300,000 to pull this puppy into our garage.
