Netflix And Binge, Anyone? Here Are The 20 Shows Users Are Watching Most

Before we discuss what Netflix shows to binge watch, let's go ahead and set the scene. It's safe to say that we've all succumb to our baser instincts when we're hungover on a Saturday morning. Should we get up and lead productive lives or should we sit around and watch television until our brain rots? Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, the latter tends to win out.

In some recently released viewer data, Netflix claims that their streaming service has revolutionized the way people consume television. Normally, we'd suggest that they're being cocky, but, nope! Not this time. They are absolutely correct:

"In total, 8.4 million members have chosen to Binge Race during their Netflix tenure, and the only thing faster than their rate of watching is the rate this behavior continues to grow. Between 2013 and 2016 the amount of launch day finishers increased more than 20 times over."

OK, so now that we know how people are ingesting their entertainment, what is it that they're watching? Well, Netflix went ahead and gathered the top 20 most binge watched/binge raced shows and we've gotta say — there's a few surprises on there. Not necessarily what we'd recommend, but, hey! We're just reporting on what's the most popular.

Netflix Binge Worthy Shows

Another interesting data point is the countries that partake in this crazy behavior. You'd think it was a uniquely American thing to mainline episode after episode without any consideration for health, sleep, and exercise but it seems lots of other nations have hopped on this trend.
