When we came across a headline boasting Peeps beer we thought it was more of an April Fool's joke than a legitimate Easter collaboration. That said, tons of people absolutely love Peeps. Consequently, tons of people absolutely love beer. So, why not combine the two? Well, that's exactly the line of thinking the Collective Brewing Project in Fort Worth, Texas had.
According to The Morning Call, "The beer, reportedly being made in partnership with a bar called Lone Star Taps and Caps, is called ‘Peep This Collab’. It’s described as a sour ale, flavored with Peeps, vanilla, and butterfly pea flower, which is said to give the beverage a purple color." To make things even more over-the-top, they're adding edible glitter after the beer has properly fermented. We're surprised Starbucks hasn't stolen the idea yet, TBH.
Our deep (like, really deep) disliking of Peeps aside, the name "Peep This Collab" is both genius and, well, adorable. It almost makes up for what's sure to be a super strange-tasting brew. Then again, what do we know? People do willingly drink Fireball, after all. If you're of age, you should check it out. The information is listed in the Instagram post above.
Worst case scenario? You get drunk off beer that tastes like sugary marshmallows and you hate it. Best case scenario? You get drunk off beer that tastes like sugary marshmallows and you love it. It's really a win-win considering getting drunk is the overall outcome, right?
