The Top Careers Of Women Who Cheat Will Have You Second-Guessing Those "I'm Working Late" Texts

When it comes to cheating it may seem like something as trivial as career choice has nothing to do with infidelity, but as it turns out, that couldn't be further from the truth. Leading married dating website, Ashley Madison recently released information proving that there are certain professions most likely to cheat, the results of which were pretty darn shocking, to say the least.

In the video above, we detail the top 5 careers of women who cheat. Below, we break down an entire overview of working professionals from Ashley Madison to determine that there is, in fact, a link between cheating and career choice. Interestingly enough, according to the data, industries that have a reported higher level of stress seem to be the industries that breed infidelity.

For the female survey respondents of Ashley Madison, the industry with the most cheaters is the medical profession — an industry full of high intensity and highly stressful situations. Studies show that women release more oxytocin (commonly referred to as, "The love hormone") than men do when dealing with stress. Because of this, women may feel more compelled to find an escape from those stresses.

Top Careers for Females

Amongst the male respondents from Ashley Madison, working in the trades was the most common career to cheat. This type of work often places a person in danger — whether it’s working at extreme heights, in tight spaces, or with heavy machinery meaning on the job stress they might bring home with them. Isabella Mise, Director of Communications at Ashley Madison explains, "Job in trades often mean irregular hours and are often structured in shift work meaning it’s easier for men to fly under the radar when it comes to sneaking around with an affair partner."

Top Careers for Males

As with all of the studies that we share with our readers, there's room for interpretation and self-reflection. Just because you're dating a female doctor, doesn't mean that she's cheating on you. If anything, take these statistics and be wary if you start to notice a pattern. Good luck, guys! Relationships are tricky.
