Whether for good or bad intentions, there have been a few times where I've wished to block my cell phone number to someone I was texting in hopes that he/she had no idea who it was. That could be because I wanted to completely screw with them, or because it was my pizza delivery guy and I didn't want him to have my number.

For those who may want to follow suit for those reasons, or some other of your own, here's an easy life hack that will make texting anonymously a reality.

Assuming you know the receivers wireless carrier—AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc.—you can simply input the person's phone number into one of these formats in order to send an SMS or MMS, which will be blocked once they receive.

Metro PCS

Yep, it really is that simple, guys.

Now go have some fun and totally mess with your buddies by sending them something that they'll freak out about—or, like me, so your pizza delivery guy isn't on a first name basis with you.
