Back in February we released some plot points for the second season of the critically acclaimed Netflix series, Stranger Things. Now we're back with some more deets and and me oh my, I think it's going to be an awesome sophomore follow up to season 1.

If you're anything like us, then you've made it a point to watch Stranger Things in it's entirety more than once. We feel like that's the only true way to absorb a show! Once for entertainment value and a second time for closer observation. Also, having a very limited social life definitely plays a part there, but, we digress.

We know for sure that Stranger Things will be back in about 3 weeks, on Friday, October 27, 2017 as per Netflix's confirmation however, we thought it best that we fill you guys in on every bit of information we've got! It isn't the whole kit and kit and caboodle, but it's something! Appreciate it!

Visuals aside, there are a lot of things in the work for this season. Including some unexpected surprises for all you avid gamers out there!

What We Know So Far:

His Season 2 Inspo:

"I know movie sequels get a lot of s—, but the ones we look up to aspire to pivot and do something different,” explains Matt. “There’s Temple of Doom, Aliens, Terminator 2. I guess a lot of this is James Cameron. But he’s brilliant. And I think one of the reasons his sequels are as successful as they are is he makes them feel very different without losing what we loved about the original. So I think we kinda looked to him and what he does and tried to capture a little bit of the magic of his work.”

The Setting of Season 2:

“We will venture a little bit outside of Hawkins,” says Matt of Things’ small Indiana town. “I will say the opening scene [of the premiere] does not take place in Hawkins.”

The Fate of The Upside-Down:

"The Duffers want to go further into Things’ alternate dimension. “We kinda just peeled back the curtain and revealed a tiny bit of the Upside Down,” says Matt. “So we definitely want to explore a little bit more. There’s a lot we don’t know about the Upside Down at the end of season 1.”

Should anything come in the next few weeks, we'll be sure to update y'all. Until then, get to binge-watching season 1. Beware of the upside down!
