For those of you who may head to the bar with buddies for a few adult beverages after work, you may want to rethink things after a new study shows just how much it's going to cost the average drinker in his or her lifetime.
That's because, according to Mirror, adults who spend an average of three hours a week in a bar will surpass over $118,000 ($118,478) in their lifetime—and, no, that doesn't include the cost of hangover cures for most of those crazy nights.
On average we spend just over three hours a week at the local, spending almost $37 each time.
This means a total of just under seven days a year - the equivalent of more than one year and two months over the average adult lifetime, will be spent in the pub.
It also emerged 13,104 alcoholic drinks and 3,276 shots will be sunk in the pub between the ages of 18 and 81.
The research was conducted by online market researchers OnePoll, who surveyed 2,000 people for the study to determine that, not so shockingly, if you don't allow yourself to buy rounds for friends and shots for random strangers, you sure can save a hell of a lot of money.
