Looking For Your Next Science Experiment? Combine Liquid Nitrogen And Diesel For Badass Results

Do you guys remember how lame science fairs as a kid used to be? They'd never let you do anything fun! Every project was basically either magnets or plants (yawn). Sure, it's most likely not safe to let students play around with liquid nitrogen and diesel fuel, but, hey! That's why being an adult is so damn awesome. You can do whatever you want and that includes combining potentially dangerous substances to watch what happens.

That's basically the entire premise behind The King of Random on YouTube. Grant Thompson, as you'll see in the video below, makes video dedicated to exploring life through all kinds of hacks, experiments, and random weekend projects, per his bio. He describes himself as a cross between MacGyver, James Bond, and the Myth-busters.

OK, that was pretty rad. Not going to lie, though, we were fairly certain that when Grant added the flame to the diesel that his entire face was going to get blown off. We know that's extreme, still, we were definitely on pins and needles the whole time. We were less concerned about the liquid nitrogen — anything that helps makes ice cream can't be that deadly, right?

The best part about Grant's tutorials is that he doesn't say, "Don't try this at home, guys!" He actively encourages his viewers to get their hands dirty and why shouldn't he? What the heck is the point of YouTube content like this if you can't replicate it yourself for fun? Our only advice, be sure to wear gloves/protective gear.
