The actor who plays The Mountain from Game of Thrones, Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, is a monster of a man who stands an impressive 6'9" and tips the scales at 397 pounds. So, yeah, if he's seen out in public, it'd be pretty damn frightening — especially if you do something stupid to get on his bad side. This man has the nickname of The Mountain, guys, so he's not to really be tested or f-cked with!
Oh, and let's not forget that, while he's known for playing The Mountain from Game of Thrones, Hafthor Julius Bjornsson also used to be a professional basketball player and was a professional strongman in his native Iceland. If that isn't enough proof the dude has some size — as if just looking at the dude wasn't enough proof — well, we don't know what will make you understand the man is a beast!
Although Bjornsson is a monster, that doesn't mean he's all into ladies who can stack up with him in the height and weight department. In fact, it's quite the opposite, because a new viral photo just hit the Internet of The Mountain with his real-life girlfriend, the very pretty Kelsey Henson, and, well, it's pretty F'in hilarious because of the size difference between the two. Just take a look and have a moment of laughter for yourselves
Remember, as The Mountain from Game of Thrones, Hafthor Julius Bjornsson is supposed to be intimidating and ruthless. But, if the actor was seen with Kelsey Henson more often on Game of Thrones, we're not so sure people would be quite as scared of the dude.
According to Unilad, the two met at an Earls Kitchen + Bar in Alberta while Bjornsson was on location filming Game of Thrones, and have been rumored to be dating since September. Solid pick up by The Mountain, even if she is about half his damn size!
With Game of Thrones forced to wait until at least 2019 until the release of the final season of the show — according to one of the show's stars, Sophie Turner — this might be the best way to entertain ourselves until Hafthor Julius Bjornsson returns as The Mountain. Ironically enough, this almost makes him feel a bit more human, so we're actually cool with passing the time amused at photos like this until then if need be.
